Educational Disclaimer
Teen Money Independence is a financial literacy curriculum. It is designed for educational purposes only. Nothing in this curriculum, application, or any associated materials constitutes financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or any other professional advice of any kind.

Teen Money Independence is an educational product, not a financial services company. All content — including lessons, discussions, simulations, calculators, and activities — is provided solely to help students and families understand personal finance concepts.

Examples, scenarios, and characters used throughout the curriculum are fictional and illustrative. They are not predictions of future results, guarantees of any outcome, or recommendations for specific financial decisions.

Always consult a licensed financial advisor, tax professional, or attorney before making real financial decisions. Your circumstances are unique, and no curriculum can account for them.

No Fiduciary Duty

Teen Money Independence, its creators, employees, and contractors do not act as fiduciaries to users of this curriculum or platform. We have no duty to act in your financial interest, and no fiduciary relationship is created by your use of this product.

We are educators, not advisors. The information we provide reflects general personal finance principles that are widely accepted in the field of financial literacy education. It is not tailored to any individual's specific financial situation, goals, risk tolerance, or needs.

If you need personalized financial advice, please consult a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), or other licensed professional.
Risk Disclosure
All investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. Past performance does not guarantee future results. The value of investments may go up or down.

When this curriculum discusses investing concepts — including stocks, bonds, index funds, ETFs, Roth IRAs, and other investment vehicles — it does so for educational purposes only. Specific investments mentioned are used as examples to illustrate concepts, not as recommendations to buy, sell, or hold any security.

Cryptocurrency and digital assets carry additional risks beyond traditional investments, including extreme price volatility, regulatory uncertainty, lack of FDIC or SIPC protection, and the risk of total loss of value. Nothing in this curriculum recommends investing in cryptocurrency.

Simulated returns and calculator outputs are hypothetical and based on assumed rates of return. Actual results will vary and may be significantly different from projections shown.
